“After using this hotel from the 90s it's time to say goodbye. My club class room was a disappointment. Bathroom door had stains running down which I removed by using the towelling mat. The door handles were also in need of a good clean.The sink water pressure was non existent. The fridge was warmer than the room. We booked on a B&B basis. The breakfast was buffet style. Very few guests were sanitising their hands or using face masks despite signs requesting the wearing of these items. Then guests would pick up the serving spoons and reach over the various items going on to pick up other serving spoons. Thepossibility of cross infection was ridiculous. People would cough into their hand then carry on to select more items of food. We decided to have a coffee and pass on having breakfast. On checking out I asked to speak to the Duty Manager Lenka who said that masks were not a requirement. This is not what all the posters were stating. No one at the entrance to the restaurant where you checked in for breakfast was encouraging use of the sanitiser. Such a simple fix. We used the hotels underground car park. The way into the car park from the lobby was convenient however as soon as you opened the door the smell of damp was considerable. The ingress of water needs to be addressed immediately.”

“The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were polite, helpful and understanding, especially with the room problems I had, and the breakfast was filling and varied with a selection of hot and cold to choose from. It was also within walking distance to the event I was attending so the location was a major factor in choosing this hotel. However, as mentioned, there was a small issue where my original room's door wasn't able to be closed properly and the change in the key card caused some problems with the lifts. But the staff were able to solve the problems and help me have a safe stay”
