This was the best stay I have ever experience. The hospitality was amazing. The food at restaurant was amazing. Room service was amazing and inexpensive. The pictures online does not do this place justice. I was only there two nights and felt so relax and comfortable, it felt like I had been on a week vacation. I am still on my vacation high almost a week afterwards. I will never come vacation in Cancun without staying at this hotel. I especially loved watching football in the cabana. They were so accommodating and it was worth ever penny or peso lol.

Wonderful experience, all staff are so friendly & attentive. Leonardo at reception was a delight, made me feel so safe & welcome like nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is new & gorgeous, very quiet if you want to chill and relax in heaven as it’s remote. Rooms have excellent attention to detail, the style is modern & spacious. Ocean view suite with views to die for. They provide turn down service while you eat dinner - food is also great quality. The little touches that make a difference are all there, I would stay again in a heartbeat & highly recommend to friends! Thank you to all the staff for making me so welcome even though I booked 20min before arrival. Really turned a bad day into a pleasant memorable experience. I will back.

My stay at the SLS was average, nothing out of this world. I would say this is a typical five star hotel with five start amenities such as concierge and turn down services. The hotel is nicely situated on a private beach. The guest rooms are tastefully designed with modern touches. The on site restaurant has plenty of tasty food options as well. The spa was my worse experience while visiting and is the cause of the four star review. The spa is small and does not have many comfortable spa touches. One thing to note they have one robe size for both men and women. I wear a size US 10 and the robe barely closed on me. When I asked for a bigger size they inform me that robe was one size fits all. I also would like to mention that they allow guest not using spa services to use the spa pool which makes the spa pool less appealing and intimate for private moments. I would recommend this hotel to someone looking for a nice beachside view and also some entertainment as the hotel has a dj by the pool and on-site restaurant.

I personally wonder about the agenda of those publishing such negative reviews. We stayed here for 12 nights and had a wonderful experience. 1) Staff are all super friendly and helpful. Everyone was amazing, in fact. 2) Room are gorgeous with great beds and amazing views. Because of our status, we were upgraded from the King Room Oceanview (which is really a mini suite) to the full one bedroom suite. We loved that it had two full bathrooms, a very comfortable seating area, and a nice work area. 3) Food at restaurant is actually excellent and while it’s expensive relative to Mexico generally, it’s not expensive for Cancun and the Puerto Cancun area specifically. 4) The pool is beautiful. Yes, they play music but not once was it intrusive. You can fully ignore comments otherwise. 5) The beach IS small and yes there are nicer beaches in Cancun. But we just spent time at those beaches mixed in with time at SLS beach and pool because we had friends staying other places. We would have been perfectly happy at the SLS though.

Stayed nearby and went to the beach club for two days on a day pass and had a blast. The food and drinks were delicious. We got shrimp four cheese pizza down on the beach (they have a different menu down there) as well as ceviche and chicken tenders by the pool. Eduardo looked out for us on both days and was a total sweetheart. He made our stay exceptional. Ask for him when you go!

Everything is extremely expensive! And they cramped everything in a tiny seafront area. There is a small pool and a beach which looks unattractive because of all the seaweed. This is a 4 star hotel in my opinion not a five star.

Prices are high, food is not good, hotel rooms are literally falling apart. We had to change room two times within two days. Everything needs to be fixed. You get stopped by security several hundred times a day. Guys that open the gates for the car are really intimidating. I was not able to walk my dog anywhere near the property I was harassed by the security of the SLS residencies and they just want to give you problems. Staff of the hotel (same building) could not resolve it with them even though they tried everyday. Also check for the mini bar and especially “Naughty Kit” - you would need to explain why it is open even though you haven’t touched it. Just ridiculous experience I was waiting for this trip to end. Also beach area is so terrible I haven’t swim there. I went to to Tulum beach houses where you can hang out for free on the amazing beaches as long as you buy some drink or food. Not recommending this hotel to anyone.

We were in Mexico City during the 7.1 scale earthquake in September 7, 2021, and had planned a trip to Cancun. Our hotel in Mexico City had to be evacuated and, accordingly, we had to look for a different place to stay. In the aftermath of this, we had to cancel our trip to Cancun, which was scheduled the next morning, just a few hours after a major earthquake. We contacted the hotel directly, explaining the whole situation, and they were not kind enough to accommodate our request for cancellation with no fees. Although we are fully aware of the rules set up upon the reservation, we also believe that common sense dictates that special situations require special attention. Ergo, especially in an area that can be subject to natural disasters, I strongly discourage booking your stay at SLS Hotel, since they have not demonstrated the ability to deal with this in a guest-centered way.

It is incredible all the good comments this facility has. It is awful. The service, the waiters. The restaurant tried to charge me more that we had. Reading all the reviews and rating I found most of them are fake news because the hotel just open few months ago and people were giving five stars on dates where the tower was not complete and the hotel was not functioning. Don't believe they are all fake comments. Honesty must come first.

I’m giving a one star because this hotel is encouraging somebody to write fake reviews. There are reviews going back 2 years when the hotel just opened up a month ago! Try being truthful in your practices. Stop asking people to write fake reviews when your hotel wasn’t even open.
