“Of all the hotels I've stayed in, throughout the world, nothing has come close to Imperial in terms of staff warmth, dedication and hospitality. This was hands down the best hotel stay I've had anywhere. Period. The staff went above and beyond to honor Marriott Platinum status and even held the same room for me when I said I'd come back in a day. The rooms were amazing and the feel of the hotel was like no other. Vienna isn't/wasn't supposed to be the main focus of my travels but I wound up spending 90% of my time here simply because of this hotel and the people that work here. Hopefully I'll be back. EDIT- Imperial & staff were catalysts in my life. The fond memories from my July stay has brought be back to Vienna 4 times in less than 6 months and I plan on returning for most of the summer. Marina, Bettina and the rest of crew, including the door staff, have gone out of their way to acknowledge and accommodate on return visits. They pump a unique scent throughout the entire hotel. I've become so obsessed, I've tracked down the maker and plan on filtering it through my own home. Amazing, life changing, experience.”

“The Imperial Hotel, also known as The Imperial, is a five-star luxury hotel in Vienna. The facade of the hotel is in Italian neo-Renaissance style. At the top of the building is a stone balustrade that forms allegorical animals from the Wurttemberg coat of arms. The main entrance contains four statues, which are also symbolic. The hotel's interior design emphasizes nineteenth-century Viennese elegance with ornate marble, hand-carved statues and massive crystal chandeliers. In the lobby, the royal staircase leads to suites and rooms, which are also illuminated by magnificent chandeliers, and there are paintings along the corridors and a sense of Viennese spirit. The specialty food of the hotel is the "royal bag" known as the Imperial Torte, which is a marzipan and chocolate cake.”
