5.0 If you I could provide more than 5 stars I would. The Grand Dame of Asian hotels continues to go from strength to strength. The remodeled state rooms are beautiful. As is the redone Verandah restaurant for breakfast which is always a joy. For me, the pool is the star, the beautiful green tiles, the free coconut ice cream, cold water and ice tea and I do love a great hotel bar and Bamboo Bar is up there although the jazz singer mailed it in during our stay. Net net, a 💎.

I had a birthday staycation here and it’s one of the most memorable birthday celebration that I ever had. I’d recommend anyone to celebrate your special event here at the MO. You’ll be impressed how they make your special day unforgettable. The room is spacious, beautiful decor, and full with all the amenities. The butler is very attentive and willing to fulfill your need. The spa service is great. The therapist is very professional & good. The afternoon tea at Author’s Lounge is a must. Nice atmosphere, beautiful architecture, very helpful staff, and delicious dessert. The breakfast buffet has various choices from Thai food, Japanese food to western food. Great stay!

I only had dinner here at "the verandah" and I absolutely loved it!!!! Wish I could afford the rooms here too. Lobby was classy and stylish, when I left there was even a string quartet entertaining guests. Food was lovely, service excellent, views spectacular. Only improvement suggestion would be to have a vegetarian version of the shrimp crackers. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could, highly recommend!

Spending one night at Royal Suites and this is one of the most luxurious rooms I have ever stayed. This is a beautiful and luxurious with hotel in Bangkok. and it truly lives up to its reputation as a six star hotel. The interior lobby is grand and beautiful. The staffs are very friendly and they are willing to accommodate us with all our needs. The decorations are very well thought out. The outside patio, and pool area are closed due to this pandemic and restrictions, but very serene and beautiful to walk around, The rooms are fabulous. Spacious, beautiful interior, gorgeous floors, and all the amenities that you will need for your stay there

Tive uma estadia agradável na noite de véspera de Natal. O local fica perto da catedral a uma curta distância. A vista do meu quarto é espetacular! Serviço maravilhoso, especialmente de mordomos e governantas. Os fogos de artifício à beira do rio eram lindos. No geral foi agradável.No entanto, houve coisas que achei decepcionantes e que poderiam ter sido melhoradas ... Em primeiro lugar, e o mais importante, é o manejo deficiente dos mosquitos. Eu gostaria que a porta do saguão não estivesse aberta o tempo todo durante a noite. Fui muito mordido e isso foi muito perturbador. Além disso, a fila do buffet de café da manhã e o atendimento no restaurante foram insatisfatórios em função da quantidade de hóspedes na manhã de Natal. Muita gente se aglomerava em uma pequena sala de bufê e serviço lento. Deveria haver uma escolha mais generosa de pratos asiáticos.

Verdadeiramente 5 estrelas Hotel em Bangkok com serviço educado e atencioso, quarto e banheiro de boa qualidade, delicioso café da manhã e clássico bar Bamboo Jazz. O banheiro é muito pequeno, o que se relaciona com o layout tradicional do quarto, a banheira pode precisar ser alterada um pouco. O lençol / edredom deve ser amolecido.

Love the newly decorated room interior. Love the service especially by the captain at Verandah. We forgot his name, but heard he s over 60. Though working through the New Year's eve till 4am, he still warmly took care of customers in the next morning and evening shifts, really appreciated his helpful and lovely attitude.

Truly 5 stars Hotel in Bangkok with polite & attentive service, good quality room & bathroom, delicious breakfast & classic Bamboo Jazz bar. The bathroom is pretty small which relates to the traditional room layout , bath tub may need to change a bit. Bed sheet/ duvet cover should be soften.

Had a nice stay on Christmas eve night. The location is near the cathedral at walking distance. The view from my room is spectacular! Wonderful service especially from butlers and housekeepers. The fireworks by the river were beautiful. Overall was pleasant. However, there were things that I found it disappointing and could have been improved... First and the most important is poor mosquito management. I wish the lobby door was not open all the time at night. I got bitten a lot and that was so disturbing. Also, the breakfast buffet line and the service at the restaurant were unsatisfactory according to the amount of guests in Christmas morning. Too many people crowded in a small buffet room and slow service. There should have had more generous choice of Asian dishes.

Desfrutamos de um delicioso chá da tarde com os amigos neste lugar tão lindo e de muito bom gosto. A comida era boa e o serviço excelente. A única queixa que tenho (que deduz uma estrela de um 5 perfeito) é que os preços cotados excluem impostos e serviços (mais mais). Outros lugares fazem isso e isso realmente me irrita! Alguém não paga o imposto (não!) Ou tem alguma escolha sobre a taxa de serviço de 10% (não), então por que não nos dizer o que isso realmente vai nos custar (que é o que eu pensei que um preço deveria fazer )? Normalmente, acho que isso faz com que um produto excessivamente caro pareça um pouco menos embaraçosamente caro! É uma prática enganosa e gostaria que mais pessoas reclamassem disso. (Em termos gerais, também tenho dúvidas se a gorjeta de serviço de 10% vai realmente para a equipe e não é apenas embolsada pelo estabelecimento - razão pela qual eu preferiria poder fazer isso sozinho.) Caso contrário, era um lugar adorável e eu o recomendaria como algo especial para fazer.

Este é um dos melhores hotéis com grandes histórias ao longo de 140 anos. Ambiente muito bom e serviço sempre pontual por todos os funcionários. Quarto, restaurante, bar, salão de chá, em todos os lugares tive uma experiência perfeita. Tive um grande momento para ficar aqui. Gostaria de voltar em um futuro próximo.

Great hotel, service, and experience overall. The staff was amazing. The room was great, the spa as well, and the restaurants were superb. Feedback tho: it is a bit annoying is that at night have to wear long pants to go and sit by the river... that was quite pretentious. Also the shampoo contains Sulfate and conditioner contain Alcohol, both are not good for you. Keep improving otherwise!

Enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea with friends at this very beautiful and tasteful place. The food was good and the service excellent. The only gripe I have (which deducts a star from an otherwise perfect 5) is being quoted prices excluding taxes and service (plus plus). Other places do this and it REALLY pisses me off! Does anyone not pay the tax (no!) or have any choice about the 10% service fee (no), so why not just tell us what this is actually going to cost us (which is what I thought a price was supposed to do)? Usually, I find this is to make an unreasonably expensive product look slightly less embarrassingly expensive! It is a deceitful practise and I wish more people would complain about it. (As a general point, I am also suspicious as to whether the 10% service tip actually goes to the staff and is not just pocketed by the establishment - which is why I would prefer to be able to do this myself.) Otherwise, it was a lovely place and I would recommend it as something special to do.

After visiting a number of hotels, I can fully attest that Mandarin Oriental Bangkok provides its guest with the finest touches. Of course, the luxurious decor is the basis of an upscale hotel - but it’s done without overdoing. It looks clean, it feels clean but it’s also classy.Rooms are spacious and are separated into different clear sections: baggage/closet room,bath with shower, bed, living and dining area are clearly defined.You could say that it’s a pretty standard offering in 5-starred hotels, but here’s what’s different - the finishing touches.The water temperature at our shower was always overheating (it’s ok, it happens and we also have the bathtub side to shower with).I called the butler at 23:00, he came immediately and tried to fix it, but to no avail. He apologized saying hinge inside was broken. We understand, things break at the wrong times. The next morning we were greeted in front of the room and the manager approached us at our breakfast table - addressing us by our names. He said fixing it was on process and delivered some complimentary treats to our room.Later that afternoon I received a minor injury on my foot, I called the butler for some medication and she was offering to take me to the medical room. I said it’s just a small cut and I’d do ok with just some gauze tape and medication. 5 minutes later she was at the door.You know, sometimes it’s not about how classy the decorations are, or how expensive the paintings and sculptures are?It’s about the small things...the memories and stories we tell and pass on.I always thought “great service” was at the top of the echelon. Now I think “worth telling a story” is on top of “great service,” and that’s excellence redefined.

The Bangkok Biennalee introduced me to this stunning hotel. Of course, I had read about its magnificence in literature and history books but finding oneself right in the middle of Bangkok colonial legacy is a whole other story. One must highlight how pieces of art are amazingly incorporated into the core of the building and how that makes the scenario enjoyable for the most exquisite and demanding eyes. As for the hotel atmosphere itself, it’s hard to imagine something quite unique. Since it a side of the Chao Praya river thatwhich has a decadent tough original charm, it offers a real experience of what the old town used to be. Guest Services are impeccable, including the cleaning and staff skills ; highly above average considering a Thai standard in similar category mansions. If you are curious to wander beyond the Michelin starred restaurant “La Normandie”, my personal recommendation is “Kinu” and its Japanese – Thai fusion style, a non-conventional yet delicious alternative.

De lo más exquisito. Decoración floral fuera de serie, comida excelente. Vale la pena ir a almorzar en la terraza a la orilla del río o a tomar el té en el antiguo pabellón que te transporta a la época colonial. Puro lujo asiático. Un "must" en Bangkok.
