“I love the old NYC Central Park South feel. The building is classic, and does not disappoint.
Service is excellent and I think the drawbacks are due to the Wuhan Virus counter-measures required by the City of New York.
The room was of course spotless, fresh, and felt luxurious. As it is a Grand Dame of NYC, it is solidly built and therefor very quiet, with almost zero ambient noise.
I might suggest that the hotel security attire is not a good idea. While I appreciate knowing the premises are secure, the black polo shirts emblazoned with “SECURITY” across the back, gave the feel of bouncers at a club, often crowded near the front entrance. I haven’t had this experience at a Marriott before.
Altogether an excellent experience, and I will always choose a Marriott hotel when possible.”
