The room was big and comfy, the pool was nearby, and so was the beach, and the food was great! Shoutout to the fruit shakes lady. She was great! Outono 2022: Um hotel agradável e tranquilo para quem não quer sair por causa do corona vírus. O serviço é ótimo, e muitos dos funcionários de longa data são bem educados. Todos os quartos são suites ou melhor. Eu estava na vista da piscina de 3 andares em frente à piscina, mas foi reformada. Está em construção. Para interiores amadeirados esbranquiçados modernos. É bonito. É uma pena que o restaurante tailandês esteja fechado e você só possa comer comida tailandesa sem ponche. Os ocidentais bebiam curry como sopa sem arroz. Otoño de 2022: un hotel agradable y tranquilo para aquellos que no quieren salir debido al coronavirus. El servicio es excelente y muchos de los empleados más antiguos están bien educados. The BEST resort in Koh Samui...Everything about TongsaiBay are perfect.Nothing fancy, but done perfectly by the most awesome staff.I try the town and other restaurants and Bars.Nothing compares to drinks and cuisine at the Tongsai Bay.Once you get there, just stay there.Everything will be handle perfectly by the staff at the Tongsai Bay.One of Best Place in the World.Yes!!!! The General Manager even came to speak to us a couple of times at breakfast.The Prana Spa is pricier than the local places but the quality - in my experience - was way better.Breakfast is enjoyable. The fruit lady (Chef Pu) in particular is very joyful. I'll have whatever she's having.The hotel has a genuinely private beach that no one else has access to. On top of that, there are a couple of pools (one of which is adult only).The gym is ok...typical for a hotel.You can always rent a car via the reception. The company they used (TA Tours) brought the car to the hotel and collected it from there. I was given a new car (<2500km) and in good condition. No problems with the rental whatsoever.Bring lots of big spray though. The geography means there are insects everywhere, but that's the way it is. Today is our last day in Tongsai Bay Hotel and I would take take a little time to say how much wonderfull was our experience here. First of all this hotel is like a private heaven on a small bay with amazing view on the sea, where you feel gifted by mother nature. The eco system has been preserved during years to offer to the guest a magnificent expression of nature. The people working here are also part of this ecosystem. They are so nice and so educated to create a perfect delicate, humble, smiling service that only ThailandCan handle this way.Our room was a private cottage on a Hideaway location were nobodies can see you but where you view is a dream…The restaurant, the bar, the breakfast…. Everyplace are perfect.Not an hotel like the other ones… a very unique conception of what is an hotel dedicated to your happiness.Thank you so much for everything's.You are the one! I don't want to repeat what has been said in many other reviews but this really is a very special place indeed.We returned this summer to Tongsai Bay exactly 20 years after our honeymoon - but this time with our three children (19,16,13).Our stay was 12 nights in the fabulous 2-bedroom Akorn Villa which like the other large villas had its own large terrace, private pool, outdoor bath and daybed.Overall this place has what we all felt was a genuinely unique combination of stunning, natural beauty and incredibly friendly 5-star service from every single employee across the resort.The scenery is truly stunning and we lost count of the number of different types of wildlife that literally crossed our path during the stay - including a beautiful golden tree snake (not venomous!).Breakfasts were a real luxury with freshly made juices/shakes, multiple chefs taking orders for egg dishes, noodle dishes, pancakes, waffles and anything else you could think of.Other meals we had at the Beach Bar/Restaurant where the service was always excellent (Sakrai was our superstar there but the whole team were amazing) and the food of the highest quality (even great pizzas too if you fancy that).The fire show night is also highly recommended!For other meal options outside the resort, both to have some variety and save some money, we would recommend Mr Eung, just a 10 minute walk away, or in Fisherman's Village (15 min taxi ride) Marigold Restaurant, a very unassuming restaurant with delicious Thai food.The resort was always great about booking/ordering these reservations/taxis for us without any fuss.In terms of other trips the resort offers a booking service for a long list of exciting activities although the only one we did was to the Elephant Sanctuary - not cheap but a truly memorable and well-organised experience.Finally we all also really the enjoyed the various onsite activities on offer including the gym, pool table, watersports - SUP, kayak and sailboat - but especially the tennis court.Nothing better than a steamy hour of tennis to start the day 8-9am before a huge delicious buffet breakfast, although floodlights also made it possible to play in the evening when it was cooler.Having two separate pools - half-moon infinity pool, for 14+ years old , and the main pool for families/kids etc is also a real bonus.There were also so many other lovely small things that were done every day to make this trip a very special one and we all felt very lucky to have had the opportunity to spend time here again, especially after the difficulties this resort, like all the others, have suffered during COVID.We will certainly be back and hopefully we won't have to wait another 20 years!Thank you to the entire Tongsai Bay Team from Mark the manager to every other employee, including:Sakrai - beach bar, Obb - waitress, Lek - buggies king, Joy/Eak - chefs Nok - reception, and Pu - the hugely entertaining fruit/juice queen!and many more that we unable to remember the names of.From all of us…….Kob khun krab!! We had an absolute blast here. The pool villas are wonderful and they are your private piece of sea with bathtub, gazebo, pool thrown in for extra measure. There is one moment which comes back to me again and again that is watching your face in mirror and seeing the entire sea on the mirror. It's just a feeling that has stayed with me. It's a big property with lots of plants. they even have their plants and bird guide. There are paddle boards, kayaks on offer, pool to laze on and sip house specials. Basically, everything which will not make you leave :) The staff was wonderful and super helpful. Also, one last thing I forgot to say is that they have their own private bay. Recommended for a luxury experience when you want to have it all!! Tivemos uma explosão absoluta aqui. Las villas con piscina son maravillosas y son su parte privada del mar con bañera, glorieta, piscina incluida como medida adicional. Hay un momento que vuelve a mí una y otra vez que es mirar tu cara en el espejo y ver todo el mar en el espejo. Es solo un sentimiento que se ha quedado conmigo. Es una propiedad grande con muchas plantas. incluso tienen su guía de plantas y aves. Hay tablas de remo, kayaks en oferta, piscina para relajarse y especiales de la casa. Básicamente, todo lo que no hará que te vayas :) El personal fue maravilloso y muy servicial. Además, una última cosa que olvidé decir es que tienen su propia bahía privada. Recomendado para una experiencia de lujo cuando quieres tenerlo todo!!

Probably the best resort I have ever visited. Everything from the rooms to the food, staff and service was 5-star. Loved it and can't wait to return again some day!

Today is our last day in Tongsai Bay Hotel and I would take take a little time to say how much wonderfull was our experience here. First of all this hotel is like a private heaven on a small bay with amazing view on the sea, where you feel gifted by mother nature. The eco system has been preserved during years to offer to the guest a magnificent expression of nature. The people working here are also part of this ecosystem. They are so nice and so educated to create a perfect delicate, humble, smiling service that only ThailandCan handle this way.Our room was a private cottage on a Hideaway location were nobodies can see you but where you view is a dream…The restaurant, the bar, the breakfast…. Everyplace are perfect.Not an hotel like the other ones… a very unique conception of what is an hotel dedicated to your happiness.Thank you so much for everything's.You are the one!

I don't want to repeat what has been said in many other reviews but this really is a very special place indeed. We returned this summer to Tongsai Bay exactly 20 years after our honeymoon - but this time with our three children (19,16,13). Our stay was 12 nights in the fabulous 2-bedroom Akorn Villa which like the other large villas had its own large terrace, private pool, outdoor bath and daybed. Overall this place has what we all felt was a genuinely unique combination of stunning, natural beauty and incredibly friendly 5-star service from every single employee across the resort. The scenery is truly stunning and we lost count of the number of different types of wildlife that literally crossed our path during the stay - including a beautiful golden tree snake (not venomous!). Breakfasts were a real luxury with freshly made juices/shakes, multiple chefs taking orders for egg dishes, noodle dishes, pancakes, waffles and anything else you could think of. Other meals we had at the Beach Bar/Restaurant where the service was always excellent (Sakrai was our superstar there but the whole team were amazing) and the food of the highest quality (even great pizzas too if you fancy that). The fire show night is also highly recommended! For other meal options outside the resort, both to have some variety and save some money, we would recommend Mr Eung, just a 10 minute walk away, or in Fisherman's Village (15 min taxi ride) Marigold Restaurant, a very unassuming restaurant with delicious Thai food. The resort was always great about booking/ordering these reservations/taxis for us without any fuss. In terms of other trips the resort offers a booking service for a long list of exciting activities although the only one we did was to the Elephant Sanctuary - not cheap but a truly memorable and well-organised experience. Finally we all also really the enjoyed the various onsite activities on offer including the gym, pool table, watersports - SUP, kayak and sailboat - but especially the tennis court. Nothing better than a steamy hour of tennis to start the day 8-9am before a huge delicious buffet breakfast, although floodlights also made it possible to play in the evening when it was cooler. Having two separate pools - half-moon infinity pool, for 14+ years old , and the main pool for families/kids etc is also a real bonus. There were also so many other lovely small things that were done every day to make this trip a very special one and we all felt very lucky to have had the opportunity to spend time here again, especially after the difficulties this resort, like all the others, have suffered during COVID. We will certainly be back and hopefully we won't have to wait another 20 years! Thank you to the entire Tongsai Bay Team from Mark the manager to every other employee, including: Sakrai - beach bar, Obb - waitress, Lek - buggies king, Joy/Eak - chefs Nok - reception, and Pu - the hugely entertaining fruit/juice queen! and many more that we unable to remember the names of. We had an absolute blast here. The pool villas are wonderful and they are your private piece of sea with bathtub, gazebo, pool thrown in for extra measure. There is one moment which comes back to me again and again that is watching your face in mirror and seeing the entire sea on the mirror. It's just a feeling that has stayed with me. It's a big property with lots of plants. they even have their plants and bird guide. There are paddle boards, kayaks on offer, pool to laze on and sip house specials. Basically, everything which will not make you leave :) The staff was wonderful and super helpful. Also, one last thing I forgot to say is that they have their own private bay. Recommended for a luxury experience when you want to have it all!!
