Wonderful location right in the French Quarter. The hotel was full but never crowded, except at the carousel bar. Criollo restaurant was wonderful for breakfast. Be sure to get the beignets and yogurt parfait. The concierge is the best! Anita and Joey could not have been more helpful and patiently helped with last minute changes and reservations. The front desk staff were very courteous and knowledgeable. Previously, we have stayed in what are supposed to be the best two hotels in New Orleans, but would stay here instead. Much better in several ways, but mainly the staff are far more helpful and friendly. We will definitely come back.

This is a beautiful hotel. I feel like it could have horrible service and would still be a desirable place to stay. The service was way above average in my opinion. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because we didn't have any hand towels or wash clothes (although all we had to do was call the front desk and they brought us some right to our room) and their was a suspicious brown substance on the wall behind the toilet. We had a difficult time understanding and hearing the front desk clerk at check in. It is a noisy, busy hotel. We never did get a seat at the carousel bar. But just getting to see it was enough for us. Be prepared to pay $6 for a cup of hotel coffee in the gift shop if you don't want room coffee. There is also a $75 a day charge for incidentals, so if you're on a budget, plan for that. We loved staying here...the service fabulous and the place was beautiful...but its definitely going to be a special occasion hotel for us.

Se tivéssemos envelhecido, bem como este hotel! A instalação é elegante e encantadora. A equipe é muito simpática e prestativa. E, claro, a localização é perfeita para aproveitar tudo o que o French Quarter tem a oferecer. Recomendo este lugar maravilhoso!

Hotel Monteleone has a beautiful history and beautiful ambiance. I had an amazing time listening to a good Jazz performance close to the carousel bar. You can always hit the heated rooftop pool and it's got aesthetics. However, I do have to be honest; I wasn't too happy with the room service. The front desk was not very helpful in my experience and they will charge you for literally the bottle of water (you're paying for the logo bottles) and the breakfast was not free. So, you pay a good amount of money and it's absolutely worth it in terms of the amenities that you get, but honestly, I've had way better room service experiences. All in all, I would probably stay at this place, again.

48 years ago my wife and I stayed at Hotel Monteleone on our honeymoon. We returned to Hotel Monteleone this year (early March, 2022) to celebrate our wedding anniversary. If only we had aged as well as this hotel! The facility is elegant and enchanting. The staff are so very helpful and friendly. And of course, the location is perfect for enjoying all the French Quarter has to offer. Would highly recommend this wonderful place!

Absolutely loved my visit to the Carousel bar!!! Ronald was the absolute best and most attentive person we met our entire week in New Orleans.He’s amazing and made such a great experience for us!!!! He really went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience! 💗💗💗

O hotel tem 135 anos de história (não espere algo ultra moderno) e esse é o chame! Localizado no coração de NOLA, onde você faz tudo a pé! Os quartos e banheiros são pequenos para os padrões americanos, mas não chega a incomodar. A academia é OK e o hotel não tem café da manhã incluído. Por ser bem localizado e tradicional na cidade, o preço pode não ser muito convidativo, no entanto a experiência é interessante e não tem como não se sentir naqueles filmes antigos!

For the amount of money we paid I expected better.Our room had paint pealing in the bathroom and a broken shower curtain. Staff was nice and helpful.Next trip, I'll try something else though.

We had to cancel a trip to New Orleans in December because COVID flared up again and our two year old won’t wear a mask on an airplane. We cancelled well in advance of our cancellation cut off and they assured us that our stay was successfully cancelled and we wouldn’t be charged any fees.Fast forward several weeks later to our originally planned check-in date and we notice that they have charged our card $500–yes $500–for a no-show fee. When we called to let them know that we had cancelled weeks ago, they said that they had no record of the cancellation and refused to reverse the charge unless we could provide proof of this. They never sent us a cancellation email (our bad, we should have demanded one at the time, I guess) but we trusted them when they had told us that it was cancelled weeks ago.We offered to send them all of the airline, dining and other lodging cancellations corresponding to this stay but they refused to take them. All in all very disappointing. They should stand behind their promises and instead are charging us $500 for the ineptitude of their staff in failing to cancel our reservation weeks ago when we had first called. Too bad because we come to New Orleans about once a year with friends and would never entertain staying here again. Asked to speak to a manager and that never happened either. Shameful way to do business.

My mom had stayed here years ago and when I mentioned I was going she said to stay at the Hotel Monteleone. I'm so glad I did! Amazing staff, clean rooms, great service including room service! The hotel has so much history and is absolutely beautiful. Add all of this to it's perfect location in the middle of the French Quarter - you will NOT GO WRONG staying here! Beautiful hotel, super friendly staff, it's haunted!! I didn't know that until I mentioned to my bf and he laughed and looked it up. The location is superb!! Close enough to Bourbon Street but at night you can't hear the noise from it. And if you have an oversize vehicle they will accommodate it in their garage. Not a lot of hotels in New Orleans could do it.

Google just told me that I visited here 3 years ago. I did not stay in the hotel but I visited the Carousel Bar. I have seen it listed as one of the best bars in the country. It is certainly unique, by 5hat I mean one of a kind. Even if you don't drink it is worth a trip down Royal Street to peak in an see it. It is a round bar that rotates,about once a hour and decorated like the Merry go Round at the fair. If you do drink, it's signature drink is the Vieux Carre sort of a fancy Manhattan. It is very potent. On the whole a very pleasant bar to visit. I did stay at the Hotel a couple of times but so long ago that any review would be meaningless.

Stayed at the Hotel Monteleone in May of 2021 for our 31st wedding anniversary. I wanted something above our normal experience for this special occasion. We booked for the 30th anniversary in 2020 but Covid changed those plans.We had such a great time that for Christmas 2021 it happened that I could bring my wife and two daughters to the Hotel Monteleone.I'd call it a once in-a-lifetime experience for my family as we may never have the chance to do it again.This hotel has such an atmosphere in the French Quarter.It is easy to walk anywhere in the Quarter from here and see all the sites and eat at any of the great restaurants.In the hotel the Criollo restaurant has very good food.The staff at every level is very attentive, helpful, warm and just like longtime friends.There is such a history here,it is not merely a hotel,it is an adventure. To learn of the history and the famous guests of the past, and to sit at the Carousel Bar where they sat and drank and enjoyed life.If you have the chance,come visit New Orleans, the French Quarter and stay at the Hotel Monteleone.As for my family,with any luck we will be back.Thanks to the Monteleone!

This is a fantastic gem in the French Quarter. Keep in mind this is a historic hotel meaning, some things are old but this is what gives the Hotel Monteleone character. Easy access to all areas of the French Quarter. The front desk staff, bellmen and doormen were all attentive, polite and appeared genuinely happy we were visiting. Our room was nice and comfortable. The Carousel Bar is a must but get there early as it stays full. Great drinks and the white truffle frites are amazing. If you are going to New Orleans, stay here, we had an amazing time!

Our favorite place to stay in NOLA! Located in the heart of the French Quarter within easy walking distance to so many shops, restaurants and bars. Room was very clean and well appointed, including a jetted tub. The rooftop pool is heated for year round enjoyment. We can't wait to return!

El hotel muy pintoresco, habitaciones cómodas, la gente de la puerta tanto como las mujeres de limpieza muy bien (sobre todo una supervisora que nos ayudó muchísimo) pero las 2 estrellas van por el mal trato que recibí desde la recepción donde fui a buscar un paquete que compré por internet y lo envié al Hotel (no fué la única). Sinceramente sentí algo así como una discriminación hacia mi, me habló de muy mala manera y estimo tal vez a que mi Inglés no es del todo bueno (aunque me sirvió para darme cuenta de la forma en que se dirigió a mí la señora) Fuimos tres familias y dudo que volvamos a ir. Bonita parada para ver el bar en forma de carrusel. Suele estar lleno y es dificil sentarse a tomar un cocktail, pero se puede pasar a verlo, es algo único.

Si tu plan es vacacionar en Nueva Orleans y quedarte en el Centro Turistico de esta Ciudad entonces hodpedate en este hotel maravilloso. Tiene todo lo que necesitas, hubicacion, una de las majores bars y un restaurante super! El service es exelente tambien.

El hotel en su arquitectura es precioso, pero las habitaciones son demasiado pequeñas, el baño es demasiado pequeño. La piscina es fabulosa, y el lobby es impresionantemente bello y elegante.

En medio del centro histórico, el hotel Monteleone queda perfectamente dentro de lo más divertido. Hay muchos restaurantes y bares cerca para probar algo nuevo cada noche. Los cuartos son un poco pequeños por el estilo arquitectónico de hace cien años. Muy hermoso todo!
