I have not yet stayed at The Guild Hotel, but visiting was a pleasant experience. Every staff member that I encountered was friendly and welcoming, even though I wasn't a guest. The lobby vibe is simple, yet modern. Definitely right up my alley. I can't wait to stay here soon! Eu ainda não fiquei no The Guild Hotel, mas visitar foi uma experiência agradável. Booked for a single night only for my birthday.Just looking for a quiet couple of days for a short getaway as we live in Orange county.The hotel is older but very well kept and has been renovated to keep everything fresh and modern.The room itself is quite small however for the price point ($300+ for 1 night)not much in the way of amenities as well.Beautiful bar/lounge right off the entry way and located super close to Seaport village.Be careful of the light fixtures in the room, if u bump them the cover falls off easily. An underwhelming experience. Over $300 per night, and they put you in a basement room. I paid the full standard rate, and not some discounted rate with the understanding I would be put in a basement room. They try to make you feel better about it by telling you it’s larger. The room has a view of the sidewalk, and was loud because you could hear everyone right outside your room in front of the hotel.The fan and air conditioning in the room was also very loud and located right next to the bed where you are sleeping. It was impossible to turn it off because then it became too hot in the room. It made sleeping very difficult.They also asked us if we wanted housekeeping when we checked in, and we said yes. However, no housekeeping came the next day. We did ask for new towels, and they were very quick at bringing these to us however.On the positive side, the hotel is in a great location and the staff we dealt with were all very pleasant. The Guild Hotel is gorgeous and my favorite hotel in San Diego!I discovered it last October and stayed for the first time on my wedding night, it was literally perfect! I am very picky regarding aesthetics and design, for me (as an interior designer) the vibe and surroundings of a space put me at ease and this hotel was like I said, PERFECT! The team is thoughtful, professional, and wonderful to work with. I have been back to host multiple events and I still leave feeling impressed every time. Onal, Janice, and MJ (along with their service team) have been supportive, communicative, and detail oriented. If you are looking for a space that offers all the gorgeous vibes, great hospitality, amazing events, and thoughtful design - The Guild is it! Such amazing addition to San Diego! Came here for a quick day trip for my wife's bday. Everything was great until we flipped the comforter back and the bed sheets and pillow were covered in hair and blood stains. The managers offered to give us a new room right away but the room we ended up in was unfortunately not as nice as the original. Every other room was booked and it was the best they could do according to them. The manager also offered $50 off for the inconvenience. I would have preferred they keep their $50 and just give us a room that was clean and equivalent. Staff was friendly, drinks were good, it's self parking. Valet is available certain times which makes it hard to unload your things. Things would have been great but the bed situation ruined it all. It's just not acceptable to give someone a dirty bed of all things. The Guild is a great option for those looking for a boutique hotel experience in San Diego. Since it’s a renovated, historic building the rooms are smaller than you would find at a new build, but they also have character and a style that you won’t find in the larger chains. The only downside of the boutique nature of The Guild is the guest services area. Crammed off the side of the entry, it’s just two small desks that have a hard time accommodating the rush of check-ins and check-outs, especially in the noisy open entryway. The Guild é uma ótima opção para quem procura uma experiência de hotel boutique em San Diego. Por ser um edifício histórico renovado, os quartos são menores do que em uma nova construção, mas também têm personalidade e um estilo que você não encontrará nas redes maiores. A única desvantagem da natureza boutique do The Guild é a área de serviços aos hóspedes. Espremidos ao lado da entrada, são apenas duas pequenas mesas que têm dificuldade em acomodar a pressa de check-ins e check-outs, especialmente na entrada aberta e barulhenta.

A real staff member replies no robots!!) and they responded quickly saying to come to our room! They brought us everything we needed when asked at the front desk or while out for the day I used the chat feature on the app several times to ask for towels etc. All the way up until the end of our stay they were so kind to us. The food was great. The bartenders made great drinks. The hotel was also conveniently located for us to walk to & explore San Diego’s must-dos. Although I already have, I really can’t say enough great things about this place. Definitely looking forward to booking anniversary trips in the future!!
