The New York EDITION seamlessly blends the elegant design of Ian Schrager with its Madison Avenue landmark beginnings. Originally constructed in 1909 as Metropolitan Life Insurance Company’s headquarters, this clocktower, near Madison Square Park, has been ingeniously reinvented to offer luxury boutique accommodation, a tranquil hotel spa, chic new event spaces and a Michelin-starred restaurant helmed by Executive Chef Jason Atherton, all encompassed by 360-degree views of the City. The Clocktower restaurant offers updated classics and contemporary British fare by Michelin starred Chef Jason Atherton. “If you’re going to stay in NYC, this is the hotel to stay at. While the rooms are small (but not by NYC standards), they are comfortable, modern, clean, with great views. The hotel staff were friendly and the bar lounge had a great vibe to it. It is located near the 23rd street metro and I had no difficulty navigating my way around town from there. The Madison park was great to drink coffee, relax or people watch. If I am ever in NYC, this is where I’ll stay.”
