“Never again! Their breakfast buffet was the best food we had at this place. We were told we didn’t need reservations for their restaurants. We tried to go have dinner, just my husband and I. The host told us our name was not on the list and we couldn’t have dinner because the list was full. Cesar was the host, he was extremely rude and condescending. We asked if there was a way we could put our name on the list and he walked us over to the front desk to speak to another extremely rude person by the name of Ramon. Ramon then kept arguing that if our name was not on the list there was no way to get a table. I told him that I asked several times at check in if there was anything we had to do to set up dinner and they said no! No reservations needed! No list was mentioned either. Ramon said I’ll put your name on the list for tomorrow. When we called the next day to confirm our names were on the list they told us the restaurant was closed on Wednesday’s. It made us upset because that was our last night and both of the other two restaurants were awful! Their hospitality is beyond awful! The bartenders always seemed upset when people asked for drinks, not friendly one bit!! We’ve been to Cancun many times and always have the best time. This was our first and last time in Riu Caribe.”
