First, let me say that the staff everywhere in the hotel were the best... Always helpful and friendly, nothing was too difficult.
Unfortunately the building is old and worn and it really isn't a 4 star hotel on a world standard. I believe they are going to renovate next year, 2023, I suggest that you wait until after that.

I booked a room at the Hotel for my brother, there were some changes to his flights but the team at M Grand were extremely patient and helpful. Special mention to Ayesha for being so helpful, attentive and always available to answer questions about the hotel. She made the experience easier, and took great care of my brother.

What a wonderful way to make up for a long delay. Missed the transfer flight and was allowed to stay at the Mercure Grand for half a day to relax before the late flight on. Staff were courteous and efficient and were incredibly friendly. Rooms were fantastic and food was delicious. Didn’t get to use the lovely pool and spa facilities…maybe next time! Thanks guys!

Some friends of mine and I spent a night at this hotel when we had to stay in Doha overnight because our flight itineraries had to change. They took really good care of us. The staff was super helpful and made us feel welcome. My room was very nice. Their is a restaurant on the 12th floor and a dinner buffet on the second. The food was amazing. I would love to spend more time at this hotel in the future.

Put here by Qatar Airways when our flight was delayed. It’s shocking and comical that this place claims to be a 4 Star hotel. This hotel is extremely run down and dirty. The carpet is stained, the facilities and permanently stained, the walls are cracked. None of the rooms get cool: they took me to additional 3 rooms and none of them feel that cool. All of the rooms looked and felt the same. I literally had to ask house keeping to shift the bed in my new room to be in a space that the AC directly blew on it to not feel like I’d melt. The room smelt musty and moldy. It is the kind of place that you don’t really want to get into the bed because it feels gross. Will you even feel clean after a shower? The room service was chaotic and orders were incorrect. I would never pay to stay here. This place is definitely more on par with a 2 star hotel. Mercure is a nice hotel brand, but this place is nothing at all to that standard.
Any time I called for room service or the front desk, I had to call multiple times before my issue or request was resolved.
It is interesting that management continues to write their apologies in response to these reviews, assuring that their customers’ experiences matter, but month after month the same issues seem to be happening.

Boa localização. O quarto não é tão novo, e deixa a desejar. Muitas obras acontecendo ao redor, o que deixa o local com muita poeira e muito barulho. Atendimento cordial.

Ótimo hotel, melhor custo benefício que encontrei, a região estava em reforma mas não foi nenhum empecilho. O atendimento foi excelente, os funcionários são muito solícitos e educados. Localização excelente, perto do Souq para ir à pé (5 minutos). Fiz os principais pontos turísticos andando à pé mesmo, somente um ponto mais longe eu fui com aplicativo local tipo Uber.

Del 24 al 28 de diciembre estuvimos visitando Doha y nos alojamos en el Mercure Grand Hotel.Está muy bien ubicado, muy cerca del Souq, en una zona muy tranquila y para ser Qatar no es extremadamente caroEl staff excelente, super amables y dispuestos a ayudar en cualquier momento.Quería destacar que el día que nos íbamos, muy temprano a la mañana, antes de coger el vuelo, les pedimos un pack de desayuno pero nos dijeron que nos nos preocupásemos y nos abrieron el restaurante para nosotros a las 04:20h y además nos dieron fruta para el camino.Excelente y super recomendable!

The reception staff was unfriendly: he did not say welcome; he looked annoyed and did not smile; he did not look at me while talking to him; he did not seem willing to respond to my inquiries. I usually give excuses the first time that maybe the person had a bad day, but I visited the hotel 2 times, 10 days-apart. The first time I visited this hotel, the same employee was at the check-in counter, and he was not helpful. The second time I went there to book a room, he was again unfriendly, so I took my luggage and left to another hotel. I paid more in the other hotel, but at least the staff were nice and helpful. To be fair, the security man at the gate was helpful and welcoming; he helped me with my luggage.

One of the worst hotel I stayed. Giving 1 star for house keeping staff they were very good polite and humble. I did check in Ac was not working I complained morning 2 person came to check they they will but till my last day they not even repaired AC and not even my room changed. They say breakfast is there but when u enter in restaurant and order for something they say it’s limited u can orderonly 3pcs (example if u order omelet u cannot order boiled egg)not more than that. I spoke with manager they say it’s policy. So after paying no breakfast. I stayed many hotels in GCC but no such policy I have seen Overall one of the worst stay for me.

Other than the staff friendliness, this hotel has much to offer. The rooms are old, rather not clean, bathrooms are in bad shape. The location is noisy and the hotel has loud generators and air-conditioner. I found it expensive for what it is.

Se nota que el hotel es viejo pero esta totalmente renovado. La habitación y el baño son muy amplios y cómodos. La limpieza perfecta. Te reponen shampoo y gel de ducha absolutamente todos los días (aunque no llegues a usarlo todo) también te regalan dos botellas de agua bebible por día. Lo único raro de la habitación es que el frigobar esta cerrado con llave y necesitas pedirla en recepción. No entendí porque... La ubicación es buenísima ya que se encuentra a pocos minutos a pie del Souq Wakif y esto es importantísimo ya que es el único lugar para pasear con vida nocturna donde ir a restoranes o bares a tomar algo (sin tener en cuenta los bares que se encuentran dentro de los hoteles) El desayuno es un punto a parte: ESPECTACULAR... super completo y riquísimo todo... La piscina no la utilizamos pero un día fuimos a verla y se veía muy linda y limpia. La atención fue super buena también. Hasta nos hicieron un descuento por ser 4 para el transfer hacia el aeropuerto (sin habérselo pedido!) Sin ninguna duda es un hotel que recomendaría a cualquier persona.

Buen hotel aunque las habitaciones están un poco anticuadas. Eso sí, el buffet me pareció estupendo. Comida buenísima. La localización no está mal. En la parte antigua cerca del puerto, del mercado y del museo árabe.
