The non-smoking Best Western Plus Sands offers our guests — and their pets — high-tech amenities and a location near Vancouver's beachfront. Spread over six floors the 119 non-smoking rooms at the Best Western Plus have 37-inch flat-panel TVs with pay-per-view movies and video games docks for mp3 players and other electronic devices and free Wi-Fi connections. Mini-fridges and gourmet coffeemakers add the comforts of home. Desks with ergonomic chairs are there when you have to finish a last-minute project. Pets are welcome for a nightly fee and a pet-sitting service is available. Work out in the fitness room then relax in the sauna. There's an on-site restaurant focusing on fresh meat sustainable seafood and local produce as well as a lounge where you can listen to live music. Room service is also available. Laundry service and a coin laundry are on-site and parking requires a fee. Situated across from the beach at English Bay the Best Western Plus is just steps from the outdoor activities at Stanley Park. Two kilometers north of the hotel is the kid-friendly Vancouver Aquarium and the interesting shops and restaurants of Granville Island are two kilometers south.
