“I arrived and had no instruction on where to park my car while checking in. Valet is closed due to Covid-19, however, there was no attendant or signage that I could see to explain where I should move my car instead. I ended up leaving my car in an alley and it was late and night with little lighting so I felt pretty unsafe. The check in process was easy, but once I got in the hotel room I noticed how dirty it was. There were multiple long hairs on the bed, the grout in the bathroom looked like it hadn't been touched in years, and the towels were unfolded and appeared to have been used. I asked to be moved to another room and was moved to a room that also had hair on the bed. If it weren't so late, I would have gone to a different hotel. The front attendant was very nice and that's why I am leaving 2 stars.”

“Overall the Aloft in downtown Nashville was a great place to stay for a quick visit. The location was perfect and was a quick ride to anything as well as in walking distance to many bars & restaurants. The hotel had an interesting smell and the rooms & bathrooms were set up very weird. It was nice to have an attached parking garage though. The staff was very helpful and friendly! Would definitely recommend staying here if taking a quick trip to Nashville.”

Visited on business for 5 days. Room could have been cleaner. Think the room cleaners need to wear hairnets. Found long hairs in bathroom and in my bedding. Room was large and spacious. Front counter service could have been better at check in. Just gave me my key and that was it. Other front desk reps I encountered were more personable. Has a bar, games(pool table), snack/breakfast area right in the lobby.

The room was great. It was spacious and the shower was amazing.
HOWEVER we had multiple issues trying to get out of the garage and the ice maker on our floor wasn’t working. We would probably stay here again though.

Stayed for one night with check in 10/8 and check out 10/9.
Pros:
- clean room
- great location for Broadway/ Bridgestone Arena
Cons:
- ‘this is a no smoking property’ signs are a joke. As soon as we walked in there was a covered up cigarette smoke smell. It was even worse on the elevators and on our floor, but I will say, you couldn’t smell it in the room.
- the pillows had hair and a stain on them, so I called the front desk to get new ones. I was put on hold and then the call disconnected
- The unwelcome 8:30 AM wake-up call. We were woken up by a woman knocking on our door saying ‘housekeeping’. We replied we didn’t need anything and she kept knocking. Finally my boyfriend opened the door to a woman asking when we were leaving. It was really weird because we didn’t ask to be waken up and she didn’t have anything to identify she was with the hotel. We quickly packed up our things and headed out. As the waited for the elevator, a man came from an another room (also not identified as a hotel employee) asking if we are leaving and from what room. It was weird and if I had been staying here alone it would’ve been pretty unsettling. I’ve never heard of someone coming to my room 2.5 hours before checkout asking when I was leaving. Aloft is that how you treat your guests when they’re paying over $500 for one night?

This used to be a veteran’s medical office so the structure of the rooms and building still mimics one. Rooms and showers are clean and big but there were other hotels down the street that are worth the stay. Elevator was old and hallways had drop ceilings. Don’t be fooled by the rooftop. It was not lively or exciting. The lobby had a certain odor. Staff was very nice. Good stay regardless. If you don’t need a lot of bells and whistles during your stay, this isn’t bad.

The room rate at the time of my visit was more affordable than other surrounding hotels. I stayed for one night. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The included to-order breakfast was very good. Multi-use amenities in the shower, which I love. Unfortunately, my room (#519 - wheelchair accessible, which I didn't need) was right next to the parking garage access door and throughout the night people kept coming and going slamming the door shut. Not the hotel's fault if guests are inconsiderate but perhaps a sign can be attached to the door. Wifi kept dropping in my room. AC was very loud. Lobby looked inviting. Generally, not a fan of pet-friendly hotels but would stay here again for a short visit.

This was only ok, because of its location in midtown and the comfy king bed. Bathroom was dirty with hair on the floor and shower upon check in. I called the front desk and requested another cleaning of the bathroom and was told it would be cleaned immediately. I returned 8 hours later and nothing had changed, hair on the shower wall and on the floor. The exercise room had dead roaches on the floor. Not a clean place.

Marriott? Really?

Not your typically well maintained Marriott property. Old, kinda dirty, worn furniture. Not worth the money. Also has an$30 a night parking requirement. Get closer to downtown if you want to pay this...
