The iconic "Pink Palace of the Pacific" right on its own private beach with a lavish pool complex spa and luaus the Royal Hawaiian a Luxury Collection Resort Waikiki is a Honolulu landmark. Built in 1927 on a prime stretch of Waikiki Beach where Queen Ka'ahumanu had her summer palace Royal Hawaiian has 528 luxury rooms and suites divided between the flamingo-pink Spanish-Moorish original building bordered by a lush garden with a majestic banyan tree and a newer 17-story Royal Beach Tower. Rooms are decorated in a tropical theme and include plush beds mini-fridges iPod docking stations and flat-panel TVs with premium cable. Rooms have views of the garden royal grove or ocean and some rooms have lanais. Wi-Fi is available for a charge.
